Glossy black sky high heels with those beautiful red soles. Christian Louboutin shoes are the epitome of sexy and sophisticated, but did you ever wonder how the soles became red? It all started back in 1992 when Louboutin was designing a shoe called the Penées. After an initial sketch and a prototype he realized something was missing. Off to the side his assistant was painting her nails with red polish which inspired Louboutin to paint the soles of the prototype red. Those red soles have since become a fashion icon and Louboutin's signature! Over 20 years later he has expanded his company from shoes to handbags and has now created a line of nail polish and tip toed into the realm of beauty. The first colour Rouge will be available in stores August 8th with the remaining colours in the collection debuting August 30th.
